This gown is designed to keep you super warm. It is almost twice the thickness of the our rib merino nightgown - so great for cold winters, but can be worn all year round (especially in Tasmania, Australia!).

Our merino wool thermal Ponte nightgown is sheer luxury & very warm to wear.

It is made from 100% superfine merino wool heavyweight Ponte 360 gsm fabric that feels wonderful against your skin with has no itch or scratchy feeling.

It not only feels beautiful but also looks luxurious too.

You can get out of the bath or shower wet and put it on and the wool will absorb the moisture and still keep you warm. This nightgown features two deep front pockets to hide all the things we seem to collect during the breakfast rush . . . and a tie to ensure you stay covered up and cosy.

Really no need to wash but if you do it is machine washable too!

PONTE dressing gown.

I purchased the ponte dressing gown on Monday. The quality and feel is absolutely superb. I love it. A huge thanks to the lovely person/ persons who made it. 🤩
I also love the fact that is made in Tasmania. I love every smitten purchase I have made. They are so easy to look after and look like new after every wash.
Thanks again for your wonderful designs and products.

I’m really happy with my new ponte dressing gown. I had been searching on line for a new one, came across your website, & was actually really excited about it. Finding beautiful & locally made, natural wood clothing was amazing. Admittedly I would never have contemplated spending this kind of money on any other dressing gown, but can see the value in it, & I’m proud of the work your family are doing.

I got my dressing gown on sale as it has a faint, which I have been unable to find! It is so warm with some weight to it, which I like, and I am very happy.

Smitten is class from start to finish.

I live in urban Christchurch New Zealand. I placed order for my dressing gown Monday 13 May. It was delivered early afternoon Friday 17th May. All the way from Tasmania! It takes 10 business days for courier delivery Auckland to Christchurch, so Smitten has to be record fast! Not only that it comes superbly packaged in it own zippered keep bag.
I am more than pleased with my dressing gown. I ordered a size up from normal & it is a perfect fit. It's great quality merino. Now I'm ready for the 6 degree frosts we've been having.
I looked near & far for a merino dressing gown. Although NZ is a merino producer & we have award winning merino clothing brands, there is no merino dressing gown to be found here.
So my only regret is that I didn't find the Smitten option sooner. It's a family owned company & you can tell, by the attention to detail & the personal messages which arrive at each point of purchase process. What a great advertisement for Tasmania. I'd love to visit there some day.
